the last Koninginnedag (Queen's Day)- because Beatrix handed over the throne to her son King Willem-Alexander!

What do they think this is, Mardi-Gras? Where are my orange beads??

even the urinals are dressed in their finest orange!

 subtle, but well-placed orange.

Even my favorite restaurant from my childhood is celebrating! Yay Pancake Bakery!
 Noordermarkt in full-swing
Posing across the canal from the house I grew up in (huge white-framed windows at the bottom, red brick on upper floors).
small floating traffic-jam on the Brouwersgracht. Nobody seemed to mind. In fact, I think they enjoyed getting stuck!

Nieuwekerk, with lovely floral arrangement for the coronation.
Fancy people outside the Palace at the Dam.
Some of Amsterdam and Holland's finest, guarding the goings-on at the Palace and Nieuwekerk.

Even Multatuli is wearing orange! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multatuli

Crazy crowds by the Anne Frank house

Why not close with the Dutch flag, and some Oranje to go with it?
